Some of the most common minerals from the area include emeralds, amethyst, garnet, rutile, mica, muscovite, tourmaline (black Schorl), and quartz (including rutilated quartz, smoky quartz, & mud-included quartz).

The Mine

A couple of pics taken out at the Enigma Emerald Mine. Panning by the creek is a nice way to take advantage of the shade on hot days, & having a hammock on hand is always a nice way to take a break or relax after hard day of digging. One of our first big finds was this large quartz crystal that weighed around 120 pounds.
